Germany emerged victorious in the FIFA U17 World Cup final, defeating France in a penalty shootout and securing their first-ever world championship at this level.

The thrilling match at Manahan Stadium in Jakarta saw Borussia Dortmund’s Paris Brunner open the scoring with a penalty, followed by a goal from team captain Noah Darvich, who recently transferred to Barcelona from Freiburg.

Despite France’s efforts, including goals from Saïmon Bouabré and Mathis Amougou to level the scores late in the game, the deadlock led to a penalty shootout.

Germany’s Robert Ramsak, Max Moerstadt, Fayssal Harchaoui, and Almugera Kabar successfully converted their penalties, securing a 4-3 victory and adding the world title to the European one they claimed at this level in June.
