Zamalek SC striker Seifeddine Jaziri is poised to continue his impressive form when the team comes up against Dreams FC in the semifinal of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The White Knights secured their first league win over Al Ahly in four years, courtesy of Tunisian striker Jaziri’s impressive brace.

Following their thrilling triumph on Monday, Zamalek players, club president, and fans celebrated their victory over their archrivals at Cairo’s International Stadium.

Jaziri is however not getting carried away in the euphoria of the celebrations but believes that his colleagues should quickly put the victory behind them and focus on the upcoming task against Ghana’s Dreams FC.

Speaking after the win over Ahly, the Tunisian striker stated “It was a difficult match, but we knew how to halt their advances. Thank God we emerged victorious and obtained the crucial three points.

“When you play for a prestigious club like Zamalek, you compete in every tournament. Now, our attention shifts to the semi-finals of the Confederation Cup. Our joy knows no bounds.”

Seifeddine Jaziri has netted four times in nine league appearances for the Egyptian giants and has also scored a goal in his six Confederation Cup appearances for Zamalek.

Goalkeeper Mohamed Awad was also quick to add “I want to thank our fans, who always support me during the hard times, and I promise them that we will focus on the upcoming matches.”

Zamalek have amassed 21 points from 13 games played this season and lie 10th on the Egyptian league log with four outstanding matches. They are tied on the same points with Ahly who sit ninth on the log with five outstanding matches.
