Dreams FC added to the struggles of Asante Kotoko on Sunday by handing them a 2-0 defeat at Dawu Park in the 26th round of matches in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

Silvester Simba opened the scoring for Dreams FC in the 25th minute, putting them in the lead. Despite Kotoko’s efforts to equalise before halftime, they found themselves trailing.

After the break, Dreams FC continued to dominate, with Derrick Agyei doubling their lead in the 64th minute.

This win marks a significant turnaround for Dreams FC, who had struggled to secure a league victory in their last five games.

The victory propelled the Still Believe lads to the 14th place on the table, lifting them out of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko’s woes deepen as they sink further to the 12th position on the log, marking their worst-ever run in years.

They are now winless in the last seven games picking up a single point from a possible 21.

With seven losses in the second round of the league and only four points secured during that period, Kotoko’s form is the worst by any team in the league so far.

The mounting pressure falls on head coach Prosper Nartey Ogum, who faces the daunting task of taking on league leaders FC Samartex in the next game.
