Jurgen Klopp has vowed to lead Liverpool in their quest for another Premier League glory despite falling to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The departing Reds manager is still hopeful that Liverpool can deliver the Premier League title, although the they fell short to a 1-0 defeat at Anfield to the Eagles.

Liverpool’s loss to Palace means that the Reds suffered another home defeat in the space of four days as maintained their top spot position having thrashed Lutow Town a day earlier.

With six games to end the season, the Reds lie third on the log tied on points with Arsenal who sit second and two adrift off the defending champions.

Speaking in a post-match interview about the team’s performance, Klopp admitted the lack of urgency from his side in the opening 45 minutes but believes Liverpool’s response in the second half shows they can win their remaining fixtures and all is not lost until the season ends.

“The answer is pretty easy. If we play like that in the first half, why would we win the league? Play like second half and we can win games. Win games, be around until the end and we’ll see where it takes us”, he said.

In hopes of bouncing back to winning ways, Klopp’s side will face Atalanta in their UEFA Europa League quarter-final second leg on Thursday night, before returning to league action on Sunday afternoon at Craven Cottage against Fulham.

As Klopp’s tenure at Liverpool nears its end, he remains optimistic about the possibility of securing more titles before departing the Merseyside club after nine years in charge.
