Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has emphasised the importance for his teammates to concentrate on their upcoming game against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

The Gunners were denied the advantage in the first leg after a thrilling 2-2 draw at home with Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard canceling out goals from Bayern’s Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry.

Speaking in a pre-match interview about what the Gunners need to do to book a place in the next round, Trossard highlighted character and resilience as factors, indicating that although Bayern have the home advantage, Arsenal equally have what it takes to rise to the occasion.

“Every game is tough, we have experienced that in the group stage as well as Porto and the last game but I think we’ve shown character as well, especially in the last game where we came back.

“It’s a top side we’re playing against and they can hurt you in many different ways so we need to be at the top of our game”, he said.

Should Arsenal edge Bayern in the tie, it will be their first Champions League semi-final since 2006, where they eventually reached the final but only missed out on the title to Barcelona.
