Last week’s UEFA Champions League quarter-finals featured thrilling clashes, including Bayern Munich and Arsenal, captivating fans worldwide and leaving them on the edge of their seats.

With one eye monitoring proceedings at the Bernabeu, the other paid close attention to Arsenal’s attempt to knock out-of-form German giants, Bayern Munich, off their perch, with keen interest.

The UEFA Champions League remains the only title up for the taking for Bayern Munich this season.

Domestically, The Bavarian giants have lost the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen who clinched their first league title on Sunday after 120 years of its establishment.

Unfortunately, Thomas Tuchel’s men have also crashed out of the German Cup.

Harry Kane said Bayern Munich had to show a reaction after the collapse of their Bundesliga title defense and admitted their league form has put more pressure on them to succeed in Europe.

“You saw a really determined team tonight. It was probably the perfect game to have because we needed a reaction from the last few games in the Bundesliga,” Kane told TNT Sports after a hard-fought 2-2 with Arsenal at the Emirates.

“We had to become more of a team if you want to be successful in this competition.”

He’s scored 38 goals in 37 appearances in his debut season in Germany and scored from the penalty spot on his return to North London that day.

Bayern’s poor form in the league has already resulted in the decision to see coach Thomas Tuchel leave the club at the end of the season.

But can he rally his troops behind him for a late push for silverware?

“We all have huge respect for the boss and we all want to end his time here on a high.”

“He’s not giving up at all, he wants to achieve something special with this team,” said Kane when asked about Tuchel’s impending departure.

Tuchel won the UCL in 2021 with Chelsea after replacing Frank Lampard after what was a bad start to the season.

The question now is, can he rally his troops behind him for a late push for silverware?
