Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, David Ocloo, says there is no ‘pressure’ on the technical team despite their terrible form in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered their fifth defeat in their last six games at the hands of Nsoatreman on Thursday evening at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 25.

Mohammed Abdul Rahaman’s goal in the dying embers of the game proved to be the decisive goal to hand the away side a hard-fought 2-1 victory claiming all three points for Maxwell Konadu’s side.

The defeat has further worsened the woes of the club as they currently lie 10th on the table with increased pressure mounting on head coach Prosper Ogum and the technical team.

However, David Ocloo is confident the technical team will turn things around.

“When things are not going well, who do they blame? It’s always the technical team. We will take it in good faith, we are still working, and we will turn things around,” he said in the post-match interview.

“We are a work in progress, there is no pressure on us. We just have to go back and work hard and try to turn things around.”

For Kotoko, their task doesn’t get any easier. They face Karim Zito’s Dreams FC who have reached the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup, an in-form Samartex who lead the pack after 25 games and defending champions Medeama in their next three games in the league.
