Otto Addo expresses his gratitude following his reappointment as Ghana’s coach, citing it as a great privilege.

The Ghana Football Association lauded his “exceptional” performance during the interview process, leading to his confirmation for a second stint on Friday.

Accepting the Ghana job on a 34-month contract entails his departure from Dortmund in the summer, where he has served as their talent coach since 2020.

Regarding his new role, he remarked, “It is a great privilege to be able to take on the role of head coach of my national team. I’ve already gained a lot of experience in this role as interim coach and I’m looking forward to the task that lies ahead of me from the summer. Until then, I will continue to give my all for BVB and will certainly remain closely associated with the club afterwards.”

Otto Addo is well-acquainted with the Ghana job, having previously held the position in 2022, during which he successfully guided the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.

In his first stint, he led the team to victory in four matches, drew four, and lost four out of 12 matches in charge.

His first assignment in his renewed role is overseeing international friendlies against Uganda and Nigeria in Morocco.
