Liverpool bounced back from recent setbacks with a crucial victory over Fulham, reigniting their Premier League title bid in the process.

Trent Alexander-Arnold marked his return to the starting lineup with a stunning free-kick to give the Reds the lead in the first half.

Although Timothy Castagne temporarily leveled the score for Fulham, Ryan Gravenberch’s brilliant strike ensured Liverpool went into halftime with the advantage.

Diogo Jota extended Liverpool’s lead with a well-taken goal, sealing the points and culminating the team’s dominance over Fulham.

Despite recent setbacks, Liverpool’s accomplished and relatively smooth performance against Fulham will provide reassurance to manager Jurgen Klopp that they still have the potential to secure a second Premier League title under his leadership.

Dropped points in a draw against Manchester United and a surprising defeat at Anfield by Crystal Palace, with a disappointing Europa League exit to Atalanta in between, had raised concerns about Liverpool’s ability to compete for additional trophies this season, despite already winning the Carabao Cup.

The win sees the 19-time champions climb back to second place in the Premier League table, level on points with leaders Arsenal.

With their title aspirations back on track, the team will now turn their focus to an eagerly anticipated Merseyside derby against Everton on April 24, 2024.

Jurgen Klopp will be pleased with his team’s performance, as they look to add another Premier League crown to their collection.
