Dreams FC youngster Abdul Aziz Issah has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to advance to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghana FA Cup champions will face Rivers United in Nigeria in the final round of group-stage games and are aware of the implications of the outcome. The Still Believe lads must avoid defeat to ensure smooth qualification to the quarter-finals.

After securing a crucial victory over Club Africain in Kumasi, Dreams FC currently top Group C with 12 points. However, the group remains highly competitive, with Club Africain and Rivers United also vying for qualification to the quarter-finals.

Issah, who played a pivotal role in Dreams FC’s success by assisting Godfred Atuahene for the decisive goal against Club Africain, is optimistic about the team’s chances in the upcoming fixture.

We knew the game was going to be a tough one because they are a strong team, but thank God we made it through,” Issah stated, reflecting on the challenging match.

Issah urged Ghanaians to have faith in Dreams FC’s qualification bid, stating, “Ghanaians should only hope for qualification from us in Nigeria. I always use the gift God gave me to complete the tasks given to me by my coaches.”

The young talent, who played a crucial role in Dreams FC’s Ghana FA Cup triumph, qualifying them for the CAF Confederation Cup, revealed his admiration for football legend Lionel Messi.

“My idol is Lionel Messi, and in my spare time, I’m constantly watching videos of Messi. Like Mohammed Kudus and other elite players, my goal is to compete at the highest level in football,” Issah added, showcasing his aspirations to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

Dreams FC have largely impressed with four straight wins after suffering a defeat in their first game in the group stage. They had initially showcased remarkable performances in the preliminary rounds of the competition beating Milo FC from Guinea and FC Kallon from Sierra Leone to proceed.
