Dreams FC forward Agyenim Boateng has conveyed his belief in the team’s ability to secure victory in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Still Believe lads are on the verge of qualifying for the quarter-finals after a crucial win against Tunisian giants Club Africain on Sunday.

Despite a goalless first half, Godfred Atuahene’s decisive goal five minutes into the second half secured a vital win for Dreams FC in the thrilling encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Boateng, reflecting on the win, expressed determination and confidence in the team’s potential to go all the way in the Confederation Cup.

“Despite the fact that it was difficult, we were determined to win this (Club African) match and advance to the next round,” Boateng stated. He emphasized that, despite it being Dreams FC’s first time competing in CAF competitions, the team is resolute in advancing to the semifinals and proving their capability to win the Confederations Cup trophy.

“Although this is our first time competing in CAF competitions, we are determined to advance to the semifinals and prove to everyone that we are capable of winning this Confederations Cup trophy.”

The victory has propelled Dreams FC to the top of Group C, bringing them closer to securing a coveted spot in the quarter-finals. However, Group C remains wide open, with Rivers and Club Africain still vying for a place in the next stage. Dreams FC now need to secure at least a draw in Nigeria to ensure qualification.

Boateng expressed confidence in facing Rivers United in Nigeria, citing a previous victory in Ghana and stating, “We know we can defeat Rivers United in Nigeria because we did it in Ghana, so we’ll use the same strategy there.”

Currently leading Group C with 12 points, Dreams FC are poised for a strong showing in the Confederation Cup, with the team aiming to make a mark in their debut campaign in CAF competitions.
