Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito is optimistic about the chances of his team qualifying for the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghana FA Cup champions are set to host Zamalek of Egypt at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium this Sunday for a crucial second leg encounter of the semifinal in the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup, with a spot in the grand finale at stake.

Speaking exclusively to Akoma Sports after their second training session in Kumasi Zito said, “After the first leg in Cairo we all sat together and planned on what exactly we want from the Sunday game and the objective on Sunday is to qualify and as to how will qualify you will see it on Sunday.”

Zito who led the team to secure a goalless draw in Cairo during the first leg spoke about their preparations for the second leg game

He said “You are here and you have seen the attitude of the players, we have put the results of the first leg aside and we are preparing seriously for the second leg, we know it is going to be very very difficult, it won’t be an easy game, it will look very frightening and very difficult but one thing I can tell you is that it not impossible, for us it is possible”

In a move to mobilise a substantial number of football-loving fans in and around Kumasi, all stands except for the VIP and VVIP areas will be open for free. This allows supporters to witness and cheer Dreams FC on as they aim for a historic qualification to the finals.

The game kicks off at exactly 4 pm as the Still Believe lads aim to make history as the first Ghanaian side to reach the final in the last 20 years.
