Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has told the Porcupine Warriors not to be complacent against RC Kadiogo in the return leg of the CAF Champions League in Kumasi.

The reigning Ghana Premier League Champions are set to play the Burkinabè side at home in the second leg of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

Kotoko won the first leg 1-0 in Benin thanks to Issac Oppong’s late strike.

Amos Frimpong in an interview with Connect 97.1 FM said the Ghanaian giant played better and could have scored more if not for their wastefulness upfront.

Frimpong played for Kotoko for almost a decade

“Kotoko played better in the first leg against RC Kadiogo. They could have scored more if they had been composed in front of goal,” the former captain said.

Frimpong stressed the need for the Ghana Premier League side to go all out and approach the game with all seriousness.

“After the first leg, I told the players not to be complacent in the return encounter because I have experienced a situation where we travelled outside to get decent results and got knocked out at home.

“The game is not over until we go all out and win on Sunday. I told them in a video call not to be complacent. You underrate your opponent at your own risk,” he concluded.
