Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle believes her side should have scored more than four goals against Guinea in the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
Ghana annihilated their West African counterparts 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, July 18, adding to a previous 3-0 triumph in the first leg to make it 7-0 on aggregate.
Evelyn Badu scored twice on the day, while Princella Adubea and substitute Firdaus Yakubu added a goal each to cap off a thrilling performance by the Black Queens.
While Ghana showcased ruthlessness in attack against the Guineans, the scoreline could have even been better given the number of chances which were blown by the Black Queens.

After the game, Nora Hauptle voiced his joy at his team’s energetic performance but asked for greater efficiency. According to the Swiss tactician, the team could have increased the score to further humiliate the Guineans.
“All in all, I think it was a good game we played. We levelled up against the first leg in Guinea. The pitch was much better so our possession [of the ball] was good.”
“We didn’t allow them to have counterattacks. We had a big dominance on the pitch.”
“The only thing I would say is that maybe we should have scored a bit more goals out of these chances,” she continued.

“But all in all, I am very satisfied, happy that we passed this first qualification round.”
Ghana, having advanced to the next round, will face Benin, whom they defeated in an international friendly last year.
