Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew has spoken about the team’s recent resurgence under the leadership of Roy Hodgson.

The Englishman, who replaced Frenchman Patrick Vieira last month, has already made a significant impact on the team, leading them to back-to-back victories in the Premier League.

Ayew has been instrumental in the team’s recent success, scoring twice in their 5-1 victory against Leeds United at Elland Road over the weekend. He also assisted the winner in their 2-1 victory against Leicester City at home.

Speaking about the team’s recent form, Ayew said, “Since Roy came in, he has done a good job so far, allowed us to express ourselves and that is what we are doing.”

He added, “We always have to stick to the game plan from Roy, try and help the team, stay in shape, track my man, do the basic things basically in the game and afterwards you’re rewarded.”

Ayew also expressed his gratitude towards former manager Patrick Vieira, saying, “Not to forget about what Patrick did for the club as well, I want to thank him as well for the amazing job he did here before. It is a shame we lost him, but we thank him for everything he has done for us during that time.”

The team’s recent victories have lifted them six points clear of the relegation zone, and they are brimming with confidence with eight games left in the season.
