Showbiz critic, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng has solidly expressed her support for actress Yvonne Nelson, who has been facing public backlash regarding her decision to name certain people in her memoir, ‘I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON.’

Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng in her submission during the Entertainment Review segment on TV3 New Day empathized with the Actress and argued the importance of understanding the context and complexities of the situation.

Addressing those who accused Nelson of disrespecting her mother,  she reminded them of the long-standing issue of the best-selling author’s search for her father, which dates back to her childhood.

“Those of you who are saying she disrespected her mum, she’s given her that respect countless times by coming to her. How old is she again?? 37 and has been wanting to know her father since she was a child so she’s given you enough respect to tell you to give me the information and you do not,” she explained

According to Ms Boateng, the memoir also serves as a plea to her father out there, urging him to come forward and acknowledge his paternity.

“The book is also a clarion call on the father out there that if you can hear my voice I’ve been looking for you all these years, my mother is not ready to give me all this information,” the renowned pundit asserted “Come along and tell method you are my father, let’s run longhand do a few DNA tests and confirm”

She also strongly disagreed with the notion that Nelson should have omitted Sarkodie’s name from her memoir. She asserted that such a demand was unfounded, emphasizing that she does not subscribe to the idea that certain names should be excluded.

“Nobody should come and tell the lady that she should have left Sarkodie’s name,
” she buttressed her point on the show.
