Stonebwoy, the recipient of the “Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste” award at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), has shed light on why he has yet to collaborate with Black Sherif.

In a recent interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, Stonebwoy clarified that the absence of a collaboration does not signify any ill feelings or lack of intention on his part towards Blacko.

The discussion arose when Stonebwoy was questioned about why Black Sherif was not featured on his “5th Dimension” album.

Stonebwoy explained, “If you say that why didn’t I feature Black Sherif on my 5th Dimension album, it might seem that there’s an issue between us, but there are no issues at all.”

He emphasized that there are numerous talented musicians in Ghana whom he hasn’t collaborated with yet, and it should not be interpreted as a problem.

Stonebwoy stressed that the lack of collaboration should not be misconstrued and that it will eventually happen.

“If we haven’t done a song yet it doesn’t mean there’s any wahala but it will definitely happen. We shouldn’t take it like it’s something that should have happened already and because it hasn’t happened so there’s something no we shouldn’t read meanings into it, he pointed out

He expressed his eagerness to work with Black Sherif and other gifted artists in the future. “By God’s grace, we have a lot of years ahead of us, and we pray that better must come, so we look forward to doing a collabo with Black Sherif and many other artistes as well,” he added.

Stonebwoy’s comments reflect his commitment to nurturing positive relationships within the music industry and he has exhibited it countless times despite Black Sherif’s failure to respond to his request for a collab.

“A few of my Jamaican friends wanted to do a collaboration with BlackSherif. I reached out to his team but didn’t hear anything from them,” he said in an interview on GHONE TV.

However, in a recent interview on TV3, he revealed that the recently-held VGMAs was his favourite event so far as he had a good time.

He was also spotted in a viral video partying with Black Sherif, a testament to their good bond and his openness to future collaborations

“Shoutout to Blacko, I was chilling with Blacko right there, whoever arranged it, made us sit together, I was chilling with him,” he noted  “Congratulations to everyone who won from King Promise to Epixode, trust me I really enjoyed myself.
