Ghanaians should come to terms with the fact that the Creative Arts Agency has just began operation and stop being “in a rush”, the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman has advised.

In an interview with Onua TV’s Entertainment Presenter, Nana Adwoa Annan, Mr. Agyeman believes that anyone who compares the Creative Arts Agency which has been in operation for only 3 years to the Ghana Tourism Authority which is in its 50th year of operation, is “not being fair”.

With respect to the comments of certain concerned Ghanaians who think that the Agency has come to its end, the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority said it has rather now been reborn. According to him, the agency will grow up and become more successful and more effective with time.

Besides, he mentioned that the agency has been able to acquire an office, and while still employing people, they are going through procurement to get a car for its dealings. “All of these things take time”, he concluded.

Moreover, the Creative Arts Agency is a national agency focused on the development of creativity and culture. It is the guiding hand established by Parliament through the Creative Arts Industry Act, 2020 (Act 1048) to provide the necessary institutional framework for the development and management of the arts industry and other related matters.

The Ghana Tourism Authority, on the other hand, is a governmental agency that regulates, promotes, and develops the tourism industry in Ghana.
