Ghana has witnessed the launch of “Party on the Field,” a groundbreaking Amapiano and Afrobeats festival aimed at showcasing African sound and culture on a global scale.

The festival promises an all-inclusive vacation and holiday experience featuring live performances and DJ sets from influential Amapiano and Afrobeats artistes.

The organizers envision a scintillating event encompassing music, food, art, and culture to promote tourism and encourage investments within the sub-region.

The first party drew a distinguished crowd, including members of the Diplomatic Corp, ambassadors, elites’ children, wealthy families, presidents’ children from the continent, top CEOs, rich Diasporians, and industrialists.

“Party on the Field” encompasses various sub-events such as Day Out Party, Francophone Night, Beach Front, and Dunkfest. The festival aims to become an annual celebration with subsequent editions planned for other African countries.

Building on the success of the “Year of Return, Ghana 2019,” which invited the Global African family to mark 400 years since the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia, “Party on the Field” seeks to encourage intra-African tourism and generate opportunities on the continent.

The festival recognises the limited movement of Africans within the continent and aims to foster interaction and exploration among different regions.

In addition to celebrating the fast-growing Amapiano and Afrobeats genres, the festival showcases a rich array of local African cuisine, arts (sculpture, painting, pottery, jewellery, masks, and textiles), and cultural initiatives.
