Veteran Highlife musician K.K. Kabobo has been reported dead after battling liver disease for some time now.

According to reports by Adom online, the music legend died in the early hours of Thursday, March 14, 2024 while he was being rushed to the hospital for treatment.

His colleague musician, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah confirmed this on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme.

“After he was admitted at the hospital, he recovered a bit and was discharged. But just this morning, he was unwell and the family decided to rush him to the hospital but died while he was being sent to the hospital,” he told Adom FM.

The Onyame Ehu Wu hit-maker was discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC) few days ago after spending some time to receive treatment for battling liver disease.

He was reported unwell last month and has since received support from personalities like former President John Mahama, Second Lady Samira Bawumia and musician Wendy Shay for treatment of his liver disease.

K.K. Kabobo was a veteran highlife musician with an extensive recognition for some of his most popular songs, such as ‘Onyame Ahu Wo’, ‘Nyatse Nyatse Girl’, and ‘Running Away’.
