Legendary Highlife musician K.K. Kabobo is reportedly ill with liver disease.
Broadcaster Barima Kaakyire Agyemang on Monday, February 26 shared a footage which captured the distressing condition of K.K. Kabobo.
The veteran musician in the footage appeared weak and pale with a deteriorating health condition.
Barima Kaakyire emphasised the urgent need and assistance for the veteran musician and called for assistance for the musician.
“Even though talking was a challenge for K.K. Kabobo, he managed to communicate with me. As he spoke, I could sense his struggle, evident in the way he panted for breath.
“He shared with me that he has been feeling unwell for some time, experiencing sharp pain around his right abdomen. Seeking medical attention, he went to the hospital, where he underwent various diagnoses. Initially, they suspected it might be an ulcer, but later, they could not pinpoint the exact problem. After thorough investigations, the results revealed an issue with his liver,” Kaakyire noted while he recounted his conversation with K.K. Kabobo’s family.
According to Kaayire, the veteran musician’s health condition was so severe that he could not upload the few minutes of the conversation. He said from his observations, the musician struggled to speak which indicates the seriousness of his health condition.
The Broadcaster noted that considering the musician’s health condition, he decided to call for assistance and support from the general public with K.K. Kabobi’s consent.
“Even though he did not explicitly request it, I spoke to him and he understood the necessity. Since falling ill, they have incurred significant expenses in the pursuit of recovery – from hospital stays and scans to medications. The financial burden has been overwhelming,” Kaayire Agyemang explained while he called for assistance of the veteran musician.
