TGMA 2024: Amerado questions why the original version of ‘Kwaku Ananse’ wasn’t nominated

Ghanaian rapper Amerado has questioned why his hit song Kwaku Ananse was not nominated for a Telecel Ghana Music Award.

In an tweet on X, Amerado expressed his inability to understand why his song, while being a hit in its original version, was not given any consideration for any category.

He said, “Dear @GHMusicAwards, Why was Kwaku Ananse (original) not nominated?”

Amerado, meanwhile, received two nominations for Best Rap Performance for “The Hardest” and “Kwaku Ananse Remix,” featuring Fameye, at the just concluded 2024 awards ceremony.

The nominations for this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards were revealed at the launch of this year’s awards took place on March 28, 2024 at the AICC.

The awards will happen on June 1, 2024 to honor all participants in the music industry who have demonstrated their resilience in the year under review.
