Winner of TV3’s Mentor X, DSL, hints at a possible collaboration with reigning dancehall act Epixode following their duet performance on the grand finale of the competition.

Speaking in an interview on TV3 New Day, the Sound Lord, affectionately called, said the dancehall artiste has been an advisor and a mentor.
Recounting his experience, he stated that he got into contact with Epixode after the launch of his “Odeeshie” challenge. And he (DSL) happened to be part of the selected artists.

“Epixode has been an advisor and a daddy to me. I knew him because I am a dancehall artiste. He once did the Odeeshie challenge, and I happened to be one of the selected artists. A collaboration with Epixode will come by all means,” he added.

The reigning king of Mentor X made a phenomenal performance with Epixode, which got fans intrigued.
He later performed his own song titled ‘Boys P3 Chow’, a party song that means boys love food and love to enjoy their hard-earned achievements and meals.

Speaking on music, DSL said he has learnt bits from most Ghanaian dancehall acts and musicians, including Shatta Wale, Samini, Stonebwoy, Epixode, among others.
The Sound Lord refuted claims that he doesn’t like Shatta Wale because he never performed his songs on the Mentor Stage.

“People think I don’t like Shatta wale because I don’t perform his songs. That’s a very big lie. Shatta wale is an entertainer. He knows it, and I love him so much; I learn from all of them,” he said.

DSL walked home with a GHS 500,000 grand prize package of a brand-new car, a record deal with Lynx entertainment record label, a GHS100,000 worth of marketing and promotion on all Media General platforms. Plus, music video shoots, international promotions and sponsored products.
Konfidential, who emerged as the first runner up, walked home with a total package of GHS300,000, which includes a cash prize of GHS10,000, sign up, and sponsored products.
