VGMA Artist of The Year KiDi revealed on the 3FM Drive that he was contacted by Mavado to do a feature and not vice versa.
KiDi released a banger a few days ago titled Blessed, which featured Jamaican superstar Movado.
The song has become a street favourite and is already enjoying airplay in the country.
Speaking to Giovani on Tuesday, KiDi disclosed Mavado reached out to him and requested to do a song after listening to his Golden Boy album.
“Mavado heard a song, Daddy Issues, I did on my Golden Boy album. I think he was really impressed, so he reached out to my team, and we took the opportunity to play him ‘Blessed’ and he loved it,” KiDi narrated.
“He sent me a voice note and said mi Breda this song na Hiiit,” KiDi mimicked the Jamaican superstar.
