The 2021 Winner of the Millennium Excellence Award for Journalism and Media Personality, Manasseh Azure Awuni, has hailed Africa’s Music Legend, Kojo Antwi, on his artistic live stage performance.

The senior journalist while watching the usual and unrelenting spectacular live performance of the Maestro posted on his Facebook wall that the live performance sounds as if a CD was being played.

Kojo Antwi is best among many other things, known for his splendid live band performance on the continent.

His admirers always experience this uniqueness of Kojo every year in December with a musical voyage to some parts of the country.

The confession by the senior journalist and the anti-corruption crusader was witnessed in attendance with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Ministers of State, and other dignitaries.

Mr Music Man shared the stage on the night with another African songstress and multiple award winner, Sona Jobarteh of Gambia and UK.

The duo were the main artistes of the night of Millennium Excellence Awards, the night which awarded Manasseh Azure Awuni, as the 2021 Winner of the Millennium Excellence Award for Journalism and Media Personality.

While enjoying the usual renditions of the Maestro’s numerous love and real to life songs with Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Ministers of State, and other dignitaries and winners, Manasseh took to his Facebook and wrote: “Kojo Antwi performs live, and if you close your eye, you might think the music is being played from a CD”, indicating, even though Kojo was not miming and as such was playing live instruments, it sounded as if Kojo was playing from his studio CD.

This was an indication that Kojo do not dilute his rhythm and lyrics when playing on live performance.
