I got admitted into KNUST to read law but my dad advised I go for Economics – Elozonam

Nigerian actor Elozonam has recently confirmed that he read Economics instead of Law at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.

In an interview with Chinasa Anukam, the former BBNaija housemate shared that though his tertiary education was a bit of a tussle, he enjoyed it.

“First of all, the university was interesting. Academically, it was a struggle. It was Economics because they admitted me for law,” he disclosed.

After his revelation, he went further to explain why there was a change over from Law to Economics.

“My dad was like, ‘Elo, look, let me level with you. You do not have the attention span to study law because it requires a lot of reading: people who like to read. You’re not that person, let’s be honest. It’s nothing against you, it’s just who you are,” he explained.

According to the singer and music producer, at the time his father’s advice came in, he was fine with it.

“I think at that age, I didn’t feel bad about it because of the way he said it – ‘Go for something that would afford you a lot more opportunities in life, something that is a lot easier to deal with which is Economics,” he added.

Though Math was not one of his best fields and it escaped his father to consider that, studying Economics at KNUST brought Elozonam Ogbolu to the realization that it was an enjoyable course.

“But he also failed to consider that I suck at math. Math was such a problem but do you know what’s funny? Turns out it was the easier part of Economics. The mathematical aspect was the easiest and it took my being in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology for up to 7 years to realize that,” he concluded.
