Ghanaian music luminary Stonebwoy has offered insightful commentary on the concept of “pressure” in the context of Ghana’s representation on the global stage.

In a recent statement on 3 Entertainment‘s Twitter Space, he addressed the prevailing notion that Ghanaians are putting too much pressure on artistes to fill up the O2 Arena and win a Grammy award before they are given due recognition as global artistes.

According to the ‘Into The Future” singer, the pressures surrounding Ghana’s representation on the global platform should be viewed as an opportunity for heightened awareness and strategic action.

“Like Sarkodie will say no pressure. I don’t see pressure. What I see is awareness,” he stated.

Stonebwoy,  35, emphasized the importance of approaching these pressures with a proactive mindset, rather than letting them become burdensome.

He noted that pressures alone do not necessarily lead to positive outcomes; instead, they must be harnessed effectively to yield tangible results.

“By that, we all have to go to the drawing board and check what makes it happen. It shouldn’t pressure us because the doesn’t make anything happen; it doesn’t solve anything. I see that pressure as it’s beautiful to see Ghana represent Africa at the highest of level. I think is a good pressure, either than that, for me it’s no pressure,” he submitted.

For Stonebwoy, the path to achieving these goals lies in placing pressures within the right avenues.

He highlighted the importance of proper direction, stating, “Because Until we achieve what we want to achieve, we can pressure ourselves as much as we want; if we apply the pressure in the wrong direction, then we will not get any answer.”

He underscored that achieving these goals requires strategic planning, hard work, and collaboration within the industry.

“But if we do apply that pressure in the right direction then we will be achieving what we want to get and be happy,” he stated
