Ghanaian musician, Diamond Michelle Gbagonah has revealed that the social media space pays quite well.

In an interview with Giovanni Caleb and AJ Sarpong on 3FM Drive, the influencer indicated that social media really pays as people do earn a living from that platform. It’s just a matter of choice.

“It does. I keep saying, when you see someone making a good living off social media, it’s true. You must choose what you want to do,” she stated.

She further added that her Instagram page is like an office to her so she always feels the need to keep it in order.

“If you come to my page, apart from the music that we are promoting, there is nothing on there apart from adverts. My page is for business. I don’t even wish birthdays. I’ll do it on my snapchat because this is my office so I want to keep it organized,” she said.

I was disappointed in Shatta Michy’s behaviour towards Medikal – Fella Makafui

To her, “If there are potential clients or companies trying to check me out, you should see that every post, no matter how humorous, is an ad.”

Sharing how much she charges for some of the adverts she posts on her Instagram page, Michy GH indicated that the amount she paid is worth it because of the effort she invests.

“It depends. I have packages. If you can afford just one post, you can do between Gh¢1,500-2000. Now I have a team so we’ve added 50k to it, 250k for a year. The kind of work I put in makes it worth it. Sometimes, I have to change the background so I’m out at restaurants, hotels, apartments, out of pocket,” she mentioned.

When asked what she takes into consideration before agreeing to work with a brand, she said that for her, authenticity is key.

“Authenticity. I need to see that you are registered under all the right authorities that need to approve of your product. I wouldn’t take the risk. I need to do my proper checks before I take you on board. You’d realize that every now and then, I have new companies but I have a few that I retain due to that authenticity and affordability,” she said.
