Grammys: Berla Mundi holds virtual red carpet with Ayra Star

Multiple Award-winning Broadcaster, Berla Mundi on Sunday held a virtual interview session with Nigerian Artiste, Ayra Star during the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

In the comfort of her hotel room, Berla was elegantly dressed in her orange corset gown as she sat behind her laptop to interview Nigerian artiste, Ayra Star.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the Nigerian superstar expressed her excitement for being nominated for the newly introduced Best African music performance category.

Reacting to the South African singer Tyla winning the award for the Best African music performance category, Ayra Star said “or Tyla, she deserves it hundred percent. I am so proud of her. I am so happy for her.”

The Head of Entertainment at Media General also spoke to the BBC Focus on Africa ahead of the Grammy awards night about the new African category, the Best African music performance.

Prior to the main event, Berla Mundi was the host for the African Nominee brunch of the 66th Grammys in Los Angeles on February 3, 2024. This was her second time hosting the event.

In the previous edition last year, Berla Mundi hosted the event interacting with the likes of South Africa’s Nomcebo Zikode and Ghana’s Rocky Dawuni who were present for the brunch.

The TV3 on-air personality reacted to GUBA’s post on Instagram announcing her as the host saying “looking forward to this.”
