Actor and comedian Funny Face has been granted bail to the tune of GH¢120,000 with two sureties by the Kasoa Akweley District court.

This comes after he was handed a two-week remand for knocking down five pedestrians on Sunday, March 24 with his Hyundai Atos car at Kakraba junction in Kasoa.

The comedian first appeared in court on March 26 after he was arrested following the accident.

Reports indicate that the case was heard in-camera on Tuesday, April 9 with prosecution providing update on the health condition of the victims..

According to the prosecution, four of the victims have been discharged from the hospital.

However, one victim who was said to be in critical condition at the time of the accident is now recuperating.

Funny Face will be freed from police custody after he satisfies the bail conditions pending further legal proceedings.

The case has been adjourned to May 10.

The comedian, born Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, was arrested on the evening of Sunday, March 24 after he knocked down five people including a mother and her children after a vehicular accident at Kakraba, in Kasoa.

The actor was subsequently put before the court on Tuesday, March 26 and appeared on charges of drunk driving and careless driving.
