Inspire to Rise in partnership with Kings Foundation Ghana has organised a menstrual hygiene management talk for upper primary pupils of Holy Rosary R/C Basic School. Held on Friday, the talk had Media General‘s Wendy Laryea, who is the Founder of Inspire to Rise, as the main speaker. The girls shared their experiences especially the cramps they suffer. But they were admonished on some personal hygiene practices like bathing twice daily and washing hands well before and after change of sanitary pads. Meanwhile, boys at the Ofankor Basic 3 School were included in talks on menstrual hygiene. They were made to contribute to discussions. It was the first series in the year and the boys “enriched our discussions greatly,” said Ms Laryea, who doubles as a UNICEF ambassador. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
