Armed robbers have broken into the West Legon residence of the presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention(PNC), Hassan Ayariga.

Speaking on TV 3’s 7 GMT on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Ayariga explained that he was not at home at the time of the incident.

However, his wife, his three children and his brother were at home.

Ayariga says he suspects foul play as the incident comes a few days after robbers attacked his entourage while campaigning in the northern regions.

“I believe there must be a reason why these things are happening,” he told Nana Aba Anamoah on 7 GMT.

“I thank God that the children and family are safe.”

He said the case has been reported to the Atomic Police Station.
