Traffic on some major roads in parts of Accra came to a standstill Tuesday following an early morning rains in some areas of the city, flooding the roads in the affected areas. The affected areas included the Korle-Bu mortuary road to Obetsebe roundabout, Odorkor-Kaneshie road, Kaneshie first light, and Kasoa – Mallam road. The rains, which started at about 5:30am, lasted about an hour-and -a-half and flooded some major roads causing hundreds of cars to stuck during the morning rush hour. For over four hours, people were stuck in traffic, a situation that forced some passengers to abandon their vehicle to trek to work. Below are some pictures of the situation.
