The 1999-year group of old students of Nkwatia Senior High School, Nkwasco, has cut sod to construct a two-bedroom accommodation facility for teachers. The group also made a donation of items including 100 pieces of plastic chairs worth GH¢6,000 to the school. The President of the Nkwasco Old Students Association (NOSA), Dr lsaac Koranteng, joined the group to do the presentation and sod cutting. The President of the 99-year Group, KB Asante Thomas, said the old students must endeavour to support their alma mater and improve its welfare. He challenged others to foster unity and fight for a good cause. The Headmistress of the school, Cynthia Odoom, enumerated the challenges of inadequate learning and teaching materials and called for more support. She added that the completion of the teachers’ accommodation will enable more teachers posted to the school to feel comfortable. Mrs. Odoom praised the 99-year group for the continued support. The year group preempted the day with several programmed activities. The group also interacted with students urging them to take their studies seriously and be innovative.
