He was immediately taken round some of the affected areas of the twin disaster.

The Togolese president was also at the Police Hospital, our reporter said on Friday, and will be heading to the 37 Military Hospital, where bodies of the dead victims were deposited.

Wednesday’s disaster left hundreds of lives lost while property worth millions of Cedis was also lost.

President Mahama has declared three days of national mourning, starting Monday, June 8.

TV3’s Narkwor Kwabla reported that an envoy from La Cote d’Ivoire, identified as the country’s Foreign Minister, also joined the touring team of the two African leaders.
