The Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga Constituency in the Upper East Region has called on the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to, as a matter of urgency, resolve the challenges surrounding the ongoing School Selection Placement.

Mr. Thomas Adda Dalu said the system is affecting children in deprived areas who do not have an idea of how to select their schools online and also who have no experience in using computer.

The MP, who was also a former Procurement Officer for West African Examination Council (WAEC) was speaking on 3FM’s Sunrise on Tuesday, hosted by Alfred Ocansey.

“There should be an effort to place everybody because those that are not placed are from the villages who do not have any knowledge of placing him or herself”.

Mr. Delu noted that “the guys are frustrated and you [the Education Ministry] are creating a certain problem for every system”.

“What do they do when they don’t know how to do it? It is affecting people in my area as well”.
