Founder of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have nothing to offer Ghanaians.

To that end, he wants Ghanaians to reject the two parties in the upcoming general elections and vote for his party to form the next government.

Mr Hassan Ayariga told TV3’s Roland Walker in an interview that the APC has good policies to help grow the economy of the country.

“The 2024 general elections are not for the NDC or the NPP, we have to change, If we want the economy to grow both parties must be swept under the carpet. That is why we in APC are putting up this hard work and good policies,” he said.

He further said that Ghana’s democracy has not reached the stage where people will trust the manifesto promises of the political parties.

To him, instead of the parties bringing up their individual manifesto documents, there should be a national development policy that will guide the activities of all the parties when they form a government.

Such a policy, if drafted, should not last more than 8 years, he suggested.

Speaking in an interview with TV3’s Roland Walker, Mr Ayariga said “Our democracy has not matured to the extent that we should believe in political party manifestoes of the parties.

“Our democracy has not matured to the extent that Ghanaians should trust the manifestoes of the parties.

“The reason I said we should come up with the nation’s manifesto which is a national development plan drafted and positioned and contributed to by stakeholders, political leaders, academics, students everybody.”
