Raphael Kaizer Tetteh has emerged as the overall winner of TV3’s maiden reality show, The Top Intern 2024.

This means Kaizer walks away with a GHS 10,000 cash prize, a trip abroad, and an educational scholarship abroad worth $40,000, as well as goodie bags from sponsors of the show.

A bragging right winner’s medal was also presented to Kaizer for his outstanding performance.

Having succeeded in both the aptitude test and the interview sessions, Raphael made it to the final 12 applicants for the 10-week-long journey, where these contestants engaged in various activities week by week. Kaizer Raphael Tetteh was confident in his leadership abilities and hopeful of winning the day, a trait he described as his “score card” in the grand finale.

Kaizer presented his masterplan, titled “The Savanna Glow Project,” aimed at finding a lasting solution to the rural-urban migration of women and men from Northern Ghana to seek greener pastures, mostly in Accra and Kumasi.

These women end up working as head porters, popularly known as “Kayaye.” Kaizer is hopeful that the shea butter business will be a panacea for Kayaye. This will also motivate other women to discard the idea of travelling down south for employment opportunities.

In his presentation, Kaizer courted public support to fund the project. Raphael’s presentation led the presidential candidate for the opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, who was in attendance, to donate the first seed money to the Savanna Glow project. Mr. Ayariga also donated a total of GHS 2,000 to the cash prize for the winner.

Nana Yaw Addae-Sam emerged as the third runner-up. He earned a cash prize of GHS 3,000 and hampers from sponsors. Esinu Aku Adza, the only female contender, also came in the second runner-up position with a GHS 6,000 cash prize and some goodies from sponsors. Abraham Abudulai Ayagri took up the first runner-up slot. Abraham also walked away with a GHS 8,000 cash prize plus some goodie bags from the sponsors.

The Top Intern show exposed participants to the nitty-gritty of the corporate world while providing them with a platform to exhibit their hidden talents.

Participants were taken through rigorous tasks such as marketing, content production, and advertising strategies. It also afforded participants the ability to profess thought-provoking solutions to the many societal problems facing the country, from unemployment to underdevelopment.

The Top Intern 2024 was proudly sponsored by Adansi Travels, Enterprise Company Limited (ECL), Pepsodent Herbal, and the Centre for Higher International Education Facilitators (Chief).
