New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant Ing. Francis Addai-Nimoh says the party’s Super Delegates Conference is becoming a source of disunity in the party.

Speaking on GhanAkoma morning show on Akoma FM 87.9MHz in Kumasi with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, he suggested to the party to do away with that process.

He was not happy about the way the party handled the recent Super Delegates Conference.

He pointed out that the purpose of the election is not to get a winner but rather just to shortlist the number of candidates.

“This system is not to select winner. I was one of those agitating for that process.

“It was not intended to choose a winner,” he stated.

‘It was meant to select five people to represent the party during the presidential primaries.”

He added, “The process is intended to produce five people and not declare a winner.”

He said the process is a waste of time.

He maintained that the Super Delegates Conference is not to produce a winner but only to downsize for the over 208,000 delegates to take decision on the aspirants.

He said the outcome of the Conference is a source of disunity in the party.
