The creativity of former President John Dramani Mahama in building a workable Ghana is not based on rhetoric but on a sense of urgency and commitment, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Professor Joshua Alabi has said.

Speaking at the campaign launch of former President Mahama to enable him to contest in the presidential primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in Ho on Thursday, March 2, Prof Alabi said “Former President Mahama is a proven nation-builder whose creativity is not based on rhetoric as others but on a sense of urgency and commitment.

“He is a competent builder with a strong sense of urgency and direction. He knows how to recreate a workable Ghana that brings value to the people.”

Mr Mahama will be contesting against former Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffuor, former Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Mr Kojo Bonsu and businessman Ernest Kobea.

But Professor Alabi said that given the current situation the country finds itself in terms of economic challenges, the right person to steer the affairs of the country as president is Mr John Dramani Mahama.

“From Member of Parliament to Deputy Minister to Cabinet Minister, Vice President and President, his performance as President gave him the accolade a nation-builder,” Pro Alabi said.
