The John Mahama Campaign has apologised to sympathisers and supporters of the former President for the postponement of filing of his nominations for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Primaries.

John Dramani Mahama has scheduled Monday, March 20 as date to file his nominations to contest the May 13 primaries but had received a request from the party executives to reschedule his move.

This, according to 3news.com‘s information, is to allow the National Communications Bureau of the party to get the needed attention for the True State of the Nation Address to be delivered on Monday.

The campaign team of the former President, therefore, rescheduled the submission of his nomination forms to Tuesday, March 21 at 1:00pm.

“Originally planned for Monday, the John Mahama Campaign says it is very sorry for the postponement, which is in response to a request from the party to reschedule because of the presentation of the party’s True State of the Nation Address on Monday,” a statement issued by Spokesperson Joybce Bawa Mogtari on Sunday, March 19 said.

Meanwhile, the former President’s campaign tour has taken him to the Ashanti Region and continues unabated.

He is expected to end the tour on Monday in time for the filing of nominations on Tuesday, March 21.
