Mr Kimathi, who is the last child of former president Jerry John Rawlings, was spotted in the company of Dr Zanetor Saturday morning at the Accra Arts Centre where the NDC primary for the constituency is being held. The man, who has remained outside mainstream political spotlight for most of his life, appears to be showing interest in politics like his father, mother and Dr Zanetor. He described Dr Zanetor as the best candidate for the party as she has what it takes to retain Klottey-Korley seat, which the New Patriotic Party is seeking to wrestle from the NDC. Up against Dr Zenator in the primary are Hayford Quashie and Mohammed Bashiru. Dr Zanetor who had no political experience, hit the limelight in September 2015 when she declared to contest for parliament in the Klottey-Korley constituency on the ticket of the NDC, a party her father founded. She eventually beat incumbent MP Nii Armah Ashittey and Leeford Kpakpo Quarshie and went on to win the December 7, 2016 election. By 3news.com|Ghana]]>
