Former Deputy Information Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu has said that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia should stop wasting the time of Ghana Ghanains with his claim that he can manage the economy.

Thsi was after Dr Bawumia indicated that he has experience in managing the economy.

“Our party, the NPP, wants to break the eight (8) and we can’t just break the 8, but break it with winnable candidate that has the qualities and credibility to break it. I am from the north, and John Dramani Mahama is also from the north and, therefore, I will be able to infiltrate into the northern stronghold of the NDC for victory in 2024,” the Vice-President assured while addressing delegates at Somanya last Sunday, the Vice-President said.

“Ladies and gentlemen, nobody should deceive you that I will not be capable of handling the economy for that matter the country when given the nod as the flag bearer and eventually as the next President of this country,” he said.

But replying to him, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said “After superintending the destruction of the Ghanaian economy in the last 7 years, Alhaji Bawumia, the comical religious nomad, says he is the biblical Paul who will turn Ghana around. In the video in the 2nd frame, he provides an answer to this claim.

“As Chair of the Economic Management Team, his results: bankruptcy, a collapsed currency, hyperinflation, the biggest ever public debt, debt default, worst credit ratings, widening budget deficits, unprecedented hardships, and many more. He should stop wasting our time.”
