Reports reaching 3news.com is that the reshuffle that hit the Executive arm of the ruling New Patriotic Party has extended to the Legislative arm of the government as well.

According to our parliamentary correspondent, Komla Klutse, deep throat sources within the Majority caucus say the new leadership of the NPP in Parliament is composed as follows:

1. Majority Leader – Alexander Afenyo-Markin

2. Deputy Majority Leader – Frank Annoh-Dompreh

3. Chief Whip –  Habib Iddrisu

4. 1st Deputy Whip — Patricia Appiagyei

5. 2nd Deputy Whip — Alex Tetteh Djornobuah

It is not clear why the change, but the immediate past Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu will not seek re-election in the upcoming December 7 parliamentary primaries. That in essence, makes him a lame duck leader if he remained in office.

It would be recalled that President Akufo-Addo in his February 14 major reshuffle, relieved Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta of his portfolio in government, with immediate effect.

The other ministers who have also been removed include Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Works and Housing Minister Francis Asenso Boakye, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Health, Kwasi Amoako Attah, Roads and Highways, Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Gender, Children and Social Protection Hon. Lariba Abudu, Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Devt Hon. Dan Botwe, Sanitation and Water Resources Hon. Freda Prempeh, Tourism, Arts and Culture Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, Greater Accra Region Hon. Henry Quartey, Oti Region Mr. Joseph Makubu.
