Brigadier General (rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah[/caption] Former Chief of Defense Staff Brigadier General (Rtd) Jospeh Nunoo-Mensah has denied media reports that he endorses Ekwow Spio-Garbrah to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections. Brigadier-General Nunoo-Mensah said he never said he was in support of Dr Spio-Garbrah’s bid to lead the NDC but rather he supported the initiative by the former Trades Minister to help young people to be on their own. At a media event on Wednesday at the launch of Spio-Garbrah’s ‘Forward Agenda’ campaign, the former Security Advisor  is alleged to have endorsed Ekwow Spio-Garbrah as the best person to lead the NDC in the 2020 elections, describing him as the liberator and motivator of Ghanaian youth. But reacting on the issue on 3FM’s Sunrise hosted by Winston Amoah on Friday, the former CDS explained, “I never made such remarks about he running for the NDC flagbearer because I am not an NDC member. I don’t have a vote in NDC”. He added: “There was a cocktail for journalist where he invited me. So, I said I supported his project to support young persons. I made that comment of supporting his bid to helping young people of being on their own”. “The reason why I joined him is to encourage young people and not to endorse him for NDC flagbearership” By Kweku Antwi-Otoo|3news.com|Ghana ]]>
