According to the governance expert, differences over results of the primaries may degenerate into if not well managed.
Dr Agbee made this observation on TV3’s News @10 on Monday, November 23.
The ruling party elected its 2016 parliamentary candidates for at least 265 constituencies last weekend. The party also endorsed John Dramani Mahama as its 2016 Presidential Candidate.
There were surprise results, however, as some sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) like Deputy Majority Leader Alfred Agbesi lost their candidature.
There was intense competition too at some constituencies notably Ningo Prampram and Madina.
Dr Agbee said the party must reach out to all aspirants especially the losers in order to forestall any negative impact on the part ahead of the 2016 general elections.
But this was immediately shot down by NDC’s National Organiser, Kofi Adams, who was also on the programme.
Mr Adams revealed that plans are already in place to foster unity among aspirants.
He emphasized that winners have been asked to be magnanimous while losers told to remain gallant with the results.
He added that President John Dramani Mahama, who received a 95.1 per cent endorsement, has put in place a programme to bring all aspirants together by close of year.
Some aspirants have served notice of challenging results of the primaries. In Upper Manya Krobo, youth demonstrated on Monday demanding a rerun of polls.
Surprise loser E. T Mensah has indicated he will table a formal complaint to the party as he suspects rigging in Ningo.
