Social media commentator and blogger, Bongo Ideas has said his safety is under threat after he was picked up and allegedly assaulted.
Bongo Ideas was on March 13 arrested by some men purported to be personnel from the Ghana Police Service after he made some comment deemed ‘disparaging’ against President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to Captain Smart on Onua Maakye, Wednesday April 3, the blogger disclosed that he feels unsafe at the moment and does not sleep in his home.

He continued that he has written to ECOWAS, United Nation and other human rights organizations for guaranteed safety.
“I don’t even sleep at my place anymore. I sleep at friend’s place, families and sometimes guest houses. I have written to ECOWAS, United Nations, African Union, Amnesty International and other human right bodies but they are yet to get back to me,” he said.

Bongo Ideas stressed that he will only be assured of his safety if he finds himself in a very secured and gated community.
“I am living in a gated community or maybe somewhere people don’t know. Even in Accra, I think I need to live in a safer community because my community is open but if I should live in a very enclosed place where I know my security is guaranteed that will be better,” he added.
