The latest development to the issue is the outcome of a meeting between the leadership of the association and government officials behind closed door on Monday, June 28.
The association, according to TV3’s Labour Correspondent, Daniel Opoku, has postponed its mass resignation action on the condition that government will fix the problem.
They have however served notice that if by July 29, nothing happens they will lay down their tools.
The doctors had earlier given government up to the end of June to resolve their concerns.
Last week, the doctors boycotted the signing of a framework to guide them in negotiating for better conditions of service with the reason that they needed time to understand the content and that government appeared to be compelling them to sign under duress.
