A fire officer with the Sawla Fire Station in the Northern Region, Cosmos Mahama Elliasu, has been found dead on his farm in Damongo in the West Gonja District.
The 35-year-old Cosmos Mahama Elliasu is said to have gone to Damongo where he lived and visited his farm on April 14,2018 at about 6am but never returned.
His senior brother Mahama Alidu, accompanied by one Abdul-Aziz Mahama, reported to the Sawla Police Station at about 11pm Saturday that their brother was missing.
“A search team was constituted immediately by the police and found his dead body in a bush not too far from his farm with multiple wounds around the chest”, a police report revealed.
The deceased has since been conveyed and deposited at the West Gonja District morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The police have commenced investigation into the suspected murder.
