Na Wumbei stated that as custodian of tradition, “we are not here to chastise the perpetrators of this heinous crime but to take stock of events so as to build a united and revered Nanung state for the future generation.”

He said the event created insecurity thwarting the prospects of economic activities pointing out that most farmers are unable to visit their farms for fear of attacks whiles the Bimbilla market which he described as one of the best in the country has lost its glory.
